We welcomed visitors from not just King's Lynn but as far afield as Australia, US as well as Holland and Germany. Students from the College of West Anglia and pupils from South Wooton and King's Oak Primary School's also enjoyed activity packed visits with projects set and on-site drawing and sculptures being produced based on the content of the exhibition.
We also ran a popular walking tour - with the help of two senior members of the voluntary Town Guides of King's Lynn. Members of our mailing list joined up with other members of the public who signed up when visiting the galleries. All enjoyed a FREE introduction to the historic delights of King's Lynn. This particular day ended with a chance for visitor to meet some of the artists and chat to them about their work. All in all, we had a very positive experience during our short time in this fascinating town.
Collaborations with other cultural hotspots in the town including Groundwork Gallery and Greyfriars Artist Collective (based in Customs House, above) bought a diverse and appreciative audience to our exhibition. Helped at one point by the press interest in the uncovering of floor boards that have had Shakespeare acting upon them at the end of the 16th c.- right next door to us!
If you missed the show you can see the works included by using the links on our home page to view items. If something catches your eye and you are interested in purchasing we can reserve the item for you.
We will be back in 2024 at some point!
