Lay of the Land: East Anglian Landscape Now
(25 September to 26 October, 2024)
Jane Hindmarch
“These works on paper were made as the first signs of Spring appeared. The fields were flushed with bright lime green growth and tiny pops of coloured buds fizzed in the hedgerows. The sooty black halos of tree canopies were just beginning to soften as buds appeared to clothe their twigs and branches again. The early signs of Spring bring relief, optimism and comfort that easier times are on the way; I feel hopeful that the adversity of winter is nearly over and better times are ahead.”
