These are inspired by naturally corroded coustlines and have evolved over several years whilst perfecting several techniques. This series of work is a result of intricate layering of numerous pre made coloured canes around a molten form that is twisted and cut with a diamond wheel when cold . Revealing the many colours beneath the surface
With many stages of process, these pieces evolve with a similarity of nature producing very organic sculptures with the outside detail bringing your eye to the inside rendering them as whole, as of a shell and other plant life.
The effect is like water over precious stones or the rock with its glimmering colours beneath reflecting natural growth and corrosion.
